Abbe Skaggs

Raised in Wadena, MN as the youngest of 5 girls, Abbe was born with a rare genetic disorder called Cystic Fibrosis. Having to do multiple lengthy treatments everyday in order for her lungs to function effectively, Abbe describes how this took a toll on her throughout her childhood-causing depressive and suicidal thoughts as young as 7 years old. On the other hand, Abbe also shares how her fight with CF has caused her to constantly depend on Jesus Christ to give her joy, strength and hope during her trials. In addition to CF, Abbe also battles endometriosis-a painful condition in her uterus that has lead to even more physical battles. Through it all, Abbe radiates joy and uses her experiences to comfort the patients she takes care of as a Cardiovascular Radiologic Technician. Fearing no man would want to take on all of the medical conditions she has, Abbe shares the story of how she met Terry, and what it's mean to have his love and support as she continues marching on as a CF Warrior.
